Job summary

GCA is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for an overnight shift (Mon–Fri, 10PM–6AM) to design, implement, and support complex WAN/LAN networks and security across enterprise environments. You will work with Cisco/Juniper gear and manage ASA firewalls, VPNs, and SDLC processes in an ITIL/Agile setting.

The role requires TS/SCI eligibility, DoD 8570 IAT II, and strong experience with vulnerability tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, and PRTG, plus VMware vSphere.

Qualifications

• DoD 8570 IAT II level certifications or equivalent.
• Top Secret/SCI eligibility required to start.
• CCNA certification and hands-on Cisco IOS experience.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive network engineering experience.
• Experience with Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, and related hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support WAN & LAN networks and telecommunication systems.
• Manage Cisco ASA firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SDLC protocols for security.
• Maintain routing with OSPF/EIGRP/BGP and high availability across global networks.
• Administer SAN storage and VMware vSphere environments.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using SolarWinds, Splunk, and PRTG.
• Automate tasks with Python, PowerShell, and Ansible in ITIL/Agile settings.
• Lead network installation/upgrades and ensure security in cloud and on-premise envs.
