Geospatial And Cloud Analytics Inc is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for an overnight shift (Sat & Sun 6p-6a, Mon-Tue 5p-1a) to design, deploy, and secure complex global networks. You will work on WAN/LAN architectures, VPNs, and SDLC-aligned upgrades supporting critical government-related services.

The role requires TS eligibility, CCNA and 7+ years in network engineering, with hands-on Cisco/juniper experience, and a strong security posture for enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• DoD 8570 - IAT Level II certification required (GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, or CCNA-Security).
• Top Secret Clearance required to start and eligible for Top Secret/SCI.
• CCNA certification.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively complex experience in computer system/network engineering.
• Experience with Cisco routers and Catalyst switches.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support WAN/LAN networks and telecommunication systems using Cisco routers/switches, Juniper gear, and other network hardware.
• Manage and configure network security devices including Cisco ASA firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, VPNs (IPsec), and SDLC protocols to safeguard assets.
• Maintain and optimize routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, BGP/MPLS VPNs for high availability across global networks.
• Administer SAN storage solutions and VMware vSphere environments.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using SolarWinds, Splunk, PRTG to identify and mitigate threats.
• Automate network management tasks using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Ansible for config management and deployment.
• Lead projects involving network installation and upgrades following ITIL and Agile SDLC practices.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and implement security measures in cloud and on-prem environments.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team for an overnight shift (Sat & Sun: 6p-6a Mon & Tues 5p-1a). The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in IT infrastructure, network security, and system administration, with a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network environments. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge networking projects, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of our enterprise network infrastructure.

Duties

• Design, implement, and support WAN & LAN networks, and telecommunication systems utilizing Cisco routers, switches, Juniper equipment, and other network hardware.
• Manage and configure network security devices including Cisco ASA firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, VPNs (IPsec), and SDLC protocols to safeguard organizational assets.
• Maintain and optimize network protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, BGP/MPLS VPNs to ensure efficient routing and high availability across global networks.

• Lead projects involving network installation and upgrades while adhering to ITIL best practices within an Agile SDLC framework.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and implement necessary security measures to protect against cyber threats in cloud environments and on-premises networks.

Required Skills

• DoD 8570 - IAT Level II (GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, or CCNA-Security)
• Top Secret Clearance is required to start, must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret/SCI
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• Minimum of Seven (7) years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer system/network engineering.
