Senior Network Engineer — On-Site, 24/7 Ops & Modernization

prattinternalcareersite; Conyers (GA); On-site; USD 120,000 - 160,000; Full time

Job summary

Pratt is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to own our network infrastructure day-to-day—hands-on, not a desk-bound architect. You’ll troubleshoot production issues, lead multi-site deployments, and support a nationwide, always-on manufacturing network with on-call rotation.

You’ll mentor engineers, oversee SD-WAN and data center modernization, coordinate with partners, and ensure secure, scalable connectivity across campus, data centers, and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• CCNP Enterprise certification required.
• 10+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience.
• Experience with large-scale modernization initiatives — SD-WAN, identity-based segmentation, cloud connectivity, or data center upgrades.
• Demonstrated experience leading network projects, not just executing tickets.
• Willingness to travel to sites and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Solid routing/switching knowledge (OSPF, BGP, STP, VLANs) and modern fabric architectures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a hands-on escalation point for Layer 2/3 issues across Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and Meraki environments.
• Participate in an on-call rotation supporting a nationwide 24/7 manufacturing network.
• Travel to sites to support deployments, troubleshoot, and assist with cutovers; this is a hands-on role.
• Lead network projects end-to-end across branch, data center, and cloud environments.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate with outside consulting partners; document design rationales and transfer ownership.
