Novul Solutions at Scott Air Force Base, IL is seeking an experienced Joint Fires Network (JFN) Engineer III to support DoD network operations in a highly available environment, focusing on monitoring, operating, and maintaining transport and IP networks for global military communications.

The role requires hands-on experience in fault management, incident response, circuit restoration, and collaboration with government stakeholders to ensure continuous network availability for mission-critical

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience in network engineering or related fields.
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
Current Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
Experience supporting enterprise network operations and NOC environments.

Responsibilities

Configure, monitor, and manage circuits across routers, switches, multiplexers, and transport platforms.
Redesign circuits and reroute paths during maintenance or outages.
Monitor alarms and events using network management tools.
Troubleshoot outages and degradations to restore services.
Coordinate with government and providers to maximize availability.
Document incidents, changes, and resolutions in runbooks and systems.
Support fault/incident management and network modernization efforts.
