Job summary

Metro Vein Centers is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to lead design, implementation, and ongoing management of our network across 70+ clinic and corporate locations. This role supports a cloud-first, zero-trust security model and ensures reliable clinical operations.

You will own network performance, drive deployment of Fortinet and Zscaler, manage firewall policies, monitor health, and collaborate with IT and security teams. Occasional travel and on-call rotation are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or network administration roles.
• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN technologies, Fortinet SD-WAN.
• Experience deploying Zscaler ZIA/ZPA in enterprise/multi-site.
• Strong understanding of Fortinet products (FortiGate, APs, switches, FortiManager).
• Experience designing multi-site WAN with ISP redundancy and failover.
• Solid networking fundamentals: BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
• Experience with network monitoring and observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure across 70+ locations.
• Lead networking strategy and deployment using Fortinet and Zscaler with failover.
• Administer ZIA for secure internet access and zero trust.
• Manage firewall policies and firmware lifecycle.
• Implement internet redundancy strategy across clinic sites.
• Monitor network health and remediate outages and slowness.
• Define and report on network KPIs like MTTR and uptime.
• Partner with security to enforce ZTNA and access controls.
• Support clinic technology deployments and expansions.
• Manage vendor relationships with ISPs and security partners.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve reliability and reduce overhead.
• Occasional travel; on-call rotation.
