Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an onsite Network Engineer in Washington, DC to design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performing network infrastructure across multiple sites. You will evaluate existing environments, drive standardization, and support LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and VPN systems to ensure reliable connectivity.

The role requires 7+ years in complex networks, virtualization experience (VMware/Hyper-V), and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing enterprise networks in multi-site environments.
• Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless technologies, and network monitoring.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and hybrid cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing network environments across sites and develop plans to integrate them into a standardized enterprise architecture.
• Design, optimize, and support LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and VPN solutions for uptime and performance.
• Strengthen network security posture by coordinating firewall, IPS, and access control initiatives with internal and MSP teams.
• Lead network monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis with thorough documentation and diagrams.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and system administration teams to ensure scalable network growth.
