Job summary

Apogee Integration seeks a Senior Network Engineer to support a National Reconnaissance Office program in Chantilly, VA. You will plan, configure network equipment, perform system administration, and ensure stable data transport for mission-critical operations.

The role requires deep networking expertise (BGP, firewalls, switches), Linux-dominant work, and collaboration across vendors and partners. Expect up to 5–10% travel and a TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience providing technical operations support.
• Subject matter expert on NRO networking infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Deep network-engineering expertise with routing protocols (e.g., BGP), firewalls, and switches.

Responsibilities

• Participate in meetings with vendors and partners to represent the customer in technical discussions.
• Provide input for requirements and research new technologies (cloud, AI) for project improvement.
• Help manage testing and validation of capabilities to meet operational needs and draft/coordinate correspondence.
• Potentially deploy technical equipment in the field and may have travel up to 5–10% TDY.
