Job Title: Sr. Network Engineer / Network Manager – Cisco / Meraki

About The Role

Our client is seeking a Senior-level Network Engineer / Manager with expert-level Cisco / Meraki experience to act as the critical link between the business and their outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP).

This is not a heads-down, deep CLI all day role. We need someone who understands how enterprise networks are actually put together, can speak the language of the business, and can hold a vendor accountable to get things done. You will own the network strategy and execution internally while the outsourced partner handles day-to-day management.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the outsourced network management vendor
• Oversee, audit, and direct all network operations, projects, and incident resolution performed by the MSP
• Provide senior-level design, architecture, and troubleshooting guidance for LAN/WAN, WLAN, VPN, and firewall infrastructure
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements and ensure timely delivery by the vendor
• Manage network performance, security, and capacity planning for a Cisco / Meraki environment
• Lead network upgrades, site expansions, and standard equipment deployments
• Establish best practices, documentation, and SLAs for network operations

What We’re Looking For

• 8 years of progressive networking experience, with senior-level / lead experience
• Expert-level hands-on experience with Cisco and Meraki – switching, routing, wireless, and security appliances is required
• Solid understanding of core networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, BGP, OSPF, QoS, firewalls
• Proven experience managing or interfacing with an outsourced MSP / vendor – you know how to get things done through a third party
• Strong communication skills – able to interface with both executive leadership and technical teams
• Experience with standard enterprise networking equipment and architecture best practices
• CCNP, CCIE, or Meraki CMNA certification is a strong plus

Work Model

Hybrid role based in Scottsdale, AZ – 4 days per week in office is required. Local candidates preferred.
