Job summary

SMTC Corporation in the United States is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure aligning with IT objectives. You will develop network, voice, data, and security architectures and mentor junior engineers.

The role demands hands-on provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of systems, with a focus on reliability, performance, and cross-functional collaboration across teams in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CCNP, CCIE, or other industry certifications are a plus.
• 7-9 years of experience in network industry.
• Experience with network automation.
• Experience with Firewall technologies design, implementation, and maintenance. (Cisco, Fortinet and Palo Alto)
• Experience with Router and Switch technologies design, implementation, and maintenance. (Cisco, Juniper, and Brocade)
• Experience with cabling and physical network infrastructure
• Experience with Cloud (Azure, AWS)
• Experience with IP Management Tools
• Experience with change management processes and tools
• Experienced in overseeing and executing large projects

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support network, voice, data, and security architectures.
• Provision, configure, operate, and maintain systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to less-experienced engineers.
• Lead technical research and innovation efforts to align with organizational strategies.
