Job summary

Goldbelt Nighthawk, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer III to support the BIA Information Technology Support Services contract. The role requires on-call coverage 24x7x365 and wires the team toward secure, scalable network design.

Preference will be given to Alaska Native and/or American Indian applicants. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, with strong expertise in routing, VLANs, wireless design, and network documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of related experience.
Expert knowledge and experience as a Network Engineer.
Strong routing, VLAN, wireless design, and network documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Develop system specifications, architecture designs, integration, and test plans.
Develop risk management and mitigation strategy.
Plan, design, and evaluate LAN/WAN, intranets, and Internet networks.
Establish network policies, ensure network integrity, and maintain systems.
Evaluate new products, resolve network problems, and document standards.
Monitor protocol compatibility, tune systems, and propose improvements.
Design, install, and troubleshoot network systems (including wireless).
Configure and maintain physical and logical network components.
Perform capacity planning and risk/contingency assessments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
