Job summary

Nabors Industries is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our global network infrastructure. The role focuses on LAN/WAN/WLAN performance, security, and reliability, with hands-on work across Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, and unified communications platforms.

Qualifications

1 year of experience in related planning, analysis, configuration, installation, systems management and coordination.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Implement and support network architecture based on organizational needs.
Configure network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers).
Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and procedures.
Monitor network performance, system availability, and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, minimizing downtime.
Perform regular network maintenance, including patches, upgrades, and security configurations.
Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data and communications.
Enforce network security policies and procedures.
Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Provide technical support and training to users and other IT staff.
Liaise with vendors and external partners for problem resolution and equipment procurement.
Research and recommend new technologies to improve network performance and security.
Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning.
