Job summary

Pacific Life Insurance Company in Omaha, NE seeks a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support its growing global network. The role collaborates with security to build controls and ensures high availability in a Fortune 500 environment.

The engineer will lead rollout projects, optimize performance, and maintain secure configurations while communicating complex details clearly to stakeholders and IT teams. Hybrid work in Omaha is available.

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT experience configuring and installing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Familiar with Cisco IOS, IOS-XE and NX-OS.
• Experience with security controls and IT audits.
• Cisco CCNP or CCIE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement network and security solutions across the enterprise.
• Interface with management and vendors to meet business requirements.
• Design and rollout network infrastructures with capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Maintain security configurations and monitor for threats.
• Document deployment and management of network infrastructure.
• Support IT security audits and respond to findings.
