Job summary

Genworth|CareScout is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support our enterprise network across data center, campus, cloud, WAN, and security platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable connectivity.

You will mentor engineers, develop standards, and lead automation initiatives using scripting and IaC. Expertise in BGP/OSPF, firewalls, SD-WAN, and Zero Trust is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in network engineering, operations, or architecture.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise routing and switching.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, support, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Serve as a senior technical contributor for network initiatives and migrations.
• Develop and maintain network design docs, standards, and procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex incidents, outages, and performance issues.
• Partner with Network Operations to improve reliability, monitoring, and automation.
• Design and implement routing, switching, wireless, Internet, and cloud networking solutions.
• Support secure access technologies (VPN, SD-WAN, Zero Trust).
• Collaborate with InfoSec to implement security controls and segmentation.
• Evaluate technologies and provide recommendations.
• Perform capacity planning and scalability assessments.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers and promote best practices.
• Develop automation solutions using scripting and IaC.
• Participate in architecture reviews, change management, and governance.
• Work with vendors/partners to support initiatives.
• Support cloud networking across Azure, AWS, and hybrid deployments.
