Google LLC in Austin, TX invites applications for a Senior Network Engineer in Google Global Infrastructure. You will design and operate large-scale network infrastructure, implement advanced routing protocols, and drive improvements for reliability and performance across data centers and edge locations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent, 6+ years of network experience, and proficiency in C++, Go, or Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers.
• Experience in one or more programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python.
• Experience with network technologies/protocols (e.g., VXLAN, BGP EVPN, 802.1x, LACP, Encryption, key management, Micro segmentation, ACL).

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions for Google's Enterprise network, executing feature qualification and validation through network development, deployment, operation, and optimization.
• Scale systems through tools and automation, and evolve systems by driving change that improves reliability and velocity, reliably serving Google Enterprise Network team’s customers.
• Participate in 24x7 on call rotation for subject matter expert (SME) Tier 3 support requirements as needed.
• Lead assigned projects by coordinating all technical and communication aspects.
• Coach and collaborate with peer engineers towards achieving common goals in assigned projects.

US: $150000 - $217000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
