Job summary

Addison Group in Houston is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network and security infrastructure.

The role emphasizes Fortinet environments, next-generation firewalls, and cloud-based integrations. You will own projects end-to-end, mentor junior staff, and ensure robust performance and security across LAN, WAN, and voice systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of network engineering experience with strong hands-on architecture and implementation skills.
• Expert-level Fortinet experience with designing and deploying full Fortinet environments.
• Strong knowledge of next-generation firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, and network security.
• Experience with SASE and Zero Trust technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, configure, and implement enterprise network infrastructure, with emphasis on Fortinet firewalls and security solutions.
• Lead upgrades and implementations involving next-generation firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, and SASE technologies.
• Configure and manage Fortinet products, including FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiManager, and related solutions.
• Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, routing, switching, and network security.
• Assist with network integrations related to mergers and acquisitions.
• Support VoIP infrastructure and cloud telephony migrations.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, optimize performance, and maintain security.
• Lead infrastructure projects end-to-end from design through implementation.
