Job summary

Milwaukee Tool in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Staff Network Engineer to design, support, and modernize our global enterprise network. You will help shape architecture, implement robust multi-site solutions, and mentor other engineers while owning key hardware lifecycle programs.

You will oversee enterprise wireless, NAC, SD-WAN, firewalls, and routing/switching, ensuring security, performance, and operability across our organization and international locations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering.
• Deep expertise across wireless, NAC, routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Experience with cloud-managed wireless and SD‑WAN.
• Ability to lead root cause analysis and mentor others.
• Strong communication, governance, and change-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced engineering and operational support across enterprise wireless, NAC, routing, switching, firewalls, and SD-WAN.
• Lead troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis on complex, cross-site network incidents.
• Design and implement network enhancements aligned with architectural and security best practices.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate network changes and deployments.
• Own lifecycle programs for a large inventory of network hardware.
• Partner with procurement, logistics, and field resources to ensure seamless deployment.
