Job summary

Sonaca North America is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to maintain and enhance the LAN/WAN infrastructure across multiple sites. You will design scalable solutions, implement security, and keep technology current with industry trends.

Responsibilities include configuring routers/switches, firewalls, wireless, storage networks, and WAN circuits; you will document architectures and monitor performance. Travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent training and experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as Network Administrator.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Industry Certifications are a plus (CCNA, CCNP, Network+).
• Network design and architecture in a multi-site environment.
• Network monitoring, metrics, and troubleshooting.
• Network documentation, drawings, inventory.
• Wireless networking at an enterprise level.
• Network security at an enterprise level.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a high-stress environment with multiple changing priorities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Solution and maintain operation of all LANs and WANs including routers and switches.
• Manage firewalls and remote access solutions.
• Create and maintain network architecture documentation, standards and procedures.
• Manage wireless environments and storage fiber channel, as needed.
• Coordinate wiring changes with plant maintenance and general managers.
• Manage WAN circuits through service providers.
• Manage Internet solutions and web filtering.
• Coordinate and maintain network security with the security department.
• Track network performance metrics and outages; perform root cause analysis.
• Assist with other IT projects as required.
• Travel up to 15%.
