Placements24 seeks a Senior Network Engineer in Randburg, Gauteng to design, implement, and manage enterprise network infrastructure. You will optimize performance, ensure security, and troubleshoot complex issues while mentoring junior staff.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong TCP/IP, routing protocols, VPN knowledge, and hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet hardware. On-site role with opportunities for professional growth and exposure to advanced network

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in network engineering and administration.
In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), switching technologies, and VPNs.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize speed and reliability.
Ensure the security of the network infrastructure by implementing and maintaining security protocols, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
