General Dynamics Information Technology seeks an experienced Network Engineer (Principal) to design, implement, and maintain complex Cisco-based networks for the Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience. Cisco certification valued.
• 10+ years in network engineering, infrastructure design, and circuit trouble...shooting routing & switching.
• DOE Q or TS clearance required.
• Deep knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless tech, and network design.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement network systems for LAN, MAN, WAN.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network issues; perform root-cause analysis.
• Analyze traffic patterns and plan capacity for growth.
• Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution and escalation.
• Configure systems to meet operational requirements and standards.
• Test and document network configurations and processes.
