Job summary

Aegis Sciences Corp. seeks a Senior Network Engineer in Nashville, TN to design, administer, and optimize enterprise networks across multiple sites. You will troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN environments, manage firewall services, and provide guidance to the IT team, ensuring high availability and security.

The role requires experience with VMware, Citrix, Palo Alto firewalls, and hybrid cloud workloads, with office presence as needed in Middle Tennessee.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field preferred.
• Seven (7) years of progressive experience administering enterprise network infrastructure, firewall services, virtualization platforms, and storage systems.
• Experience administering Palo Alto firewalls, enterprise routing and switching, wireless networking, and multi-site network environments.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud infrastructure including Microsoft Azure, virtual networking, identity services, and cloud-hosted workloads preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support VMware, VDI, and storage systems for network operations.
• Design, administer, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN network services according to standards.
• Manage routers, switches, and related network infrastructure across sites.
• Administer, optimize, and troubleshoot firewall services at all sites; review rules and policies.
• Lead root-cause analysis for network performance and outages with monitoring tools.
• Provide escalation support and mentoring to junior staff.
• Lead network-related projects, upgrades, incident response, and change-management activities.
• Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
