Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support and improve the organization’s enterprise network, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, internet, and Google Cloud networking environments.

The role requires on-call rotation, on-site support in Long Island/Suffolk County, and strong expertise in routing, switching, and cloud networking to maintain high availability across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience, required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure integrity of networking and communications systems software, hardware, and configurations.
• Identify, engineer and program networking infrastructure and communication applications.
• Develop knowledge base documents and transfer knowledge within the team.
• Evaluate project requests and recommend appropriate action.
• Administer installation and repair services.
• Provide first-level resolution for health system locations.
• Guide and direct engineering teams and outside technicians.
