Job summary

Nightwing seeks a Network Engineer to design, implement, and sustain our lab network infrastructure for critical missions. You will configure routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, while ensuring security and availability across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in network administration, Linux/Unix and MacOS proficiency, and hands-on experience with Citrix/VMware virtual desktops. U.S. citizenship and clearance are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related field; or HS Diploma with 8+ years related experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance; TS/SCI preferred; DHS suitability.
• 8+ years of network administration/engineering experience; proficiency with Linux/Unix and MacOS.
• Strong knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs; virtualization with Citrix/VMware.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure solutions to enhance mission execution and decision support.
• Support lab integration of new tech with SOPs and policies.
• Assess network topology, identify vulnerabilities and enforce security best practices.
• Provide VPN/VDI support (Citrix, VMware) for cross-location users.
• Troubleshoot complex network problems and maintain backups and security.
