Job summary
Amentum is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the NGE/IRES program across DoD data centers. You will engineer, configure, and secure high‑performance fabrics using Nexus EVPN‑VxLAN, NSX, Versa SD‑WAN, and F5 LTM/GTM, while coordinating with government stakeholders to deliver compliant hybrid cloud and on‑prem networks.
Applicants should have extensive network engineering experience, DoW Secret clearance, and hands-on capability with automation and security hardening in DoD
Qualifications
- 12+ years of general (full-time) work experience.
- 6+ years of directly related experience.
- 1+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus (NX-OS) Spine-Leaf EVPN-VxLAN.
- Experience with VMware NSX, F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM, Infoblox DDI/IPAM, Versa SD-WAN.
- Active DoW Secret security clearance and DoW 8140/8570 IAT Level II or higher.
Responsibilities
- Engineer, configure, implement, and secure data center fabrics and SDN enclaves.
- Configure Nexus Spine-Leaf EVPN-VxLAN, NSX, Versa SD-WAN, F5 BIG-IP, and Infoblox systems.
- Maintain automated infrastructure via IaC and scripting (Ansible, Terraform, Python).
- Collaborate across engineering, security, and government stakeholders.
- Enforce Zero Trust boundaries and compliance with DoD/MDA requirements.
