Job summary

Career Listings is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). This role requires designing and maintaining a secure network infrastructure critical to modernizing DTRA's enterprise IT systems.

The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, and active Top Secret clearance. Responsibilities also include managing network hardware and leading engineering projects.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of relevant experience in network engineering.
• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Current DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification (Security+ and CCNA).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain robust network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Lead complex network engineering projects.

Skills

Routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF)

Network security (NGFW, IDS/IPS)

Hands-on experience with Cisco products

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Master’s degree with relevant experience

Tools

Cisco Call Manager (CUCM)

Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)

TACLANE cryptographic encryptors
