Job summary

Encore Technologies is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage our network infrastructure, ensuring performance, security, and reliability across the organization. You will work with IT teams to support internal and external communications and align network services with business goals.

Responsibilities include designing LAN/WAN/VPN and wireless networks, implementing scalable solutions, monitoring performance, and maintaining network security.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in network administration, design, or engineering.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Knowledge of network protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
• Understanding of network security practices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and deployment of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
• Implement network solutions to meet business requirements for performance and scalability.
• Monitor the performance of the network, ensuring its stability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security problems.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, such as firewalls, encryption, and VPNs, to protect the organization's data and prevent unauthorized access.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices to optimize network traffic and ensure efficient performance.
• Work closely with system administrators, IT support teams, and security specialists to integrate network solutions with other IT systems and services.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and compliance purposes.
• Diagnose and address network issues quickly to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Conduct tests to verify network performance, such as load testing, vulnerability scanning, and security assessments.
• Work with vendors to select and manage network equipment and services.
• Assist in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and backup strategies for network services to ensure business continuity in case of network failures.
