Job summary

Puget Sound Energy in Washington is seeking an Advisor Network Engineer to act as a technical lead on the Enterprise Network Team, focusing on Cisco datacenter technologies, ACI, SDA LAN and automation.

You will design, implement and support network foundations across data centers, WANs, and wireless environments while collaborating with vendors and IT teams to improve security, reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or certification in a technology-related field.
• At least six years of infrastructure/network experience.
• Extensive WAN/LAN/VoIP design and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnets.
• Experience with Cisco IOS commands, upgrades, and routing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-disciplinary teams to troubleshoot major network outages with high impact.
• Serve as top technical resource for networking and VoIP.
• Design and implement network architectures including WLANs, LANs, WANs and VoIP.
• Evaluate hardware and software for network infrastructure needs.
• Develop automation workflows using APIs, Python, and IaC.
• Document network infrastructure and coordinate vendor proposals.
