Job summary

Beacon Technologies seeks a Network Engineer II to design, implement, operate, secure, and improve enterprise network infrastructure across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

The role collaborates with infrastructure, security, systems administration, and development teams to enhance network services, automate processes, and ensure compliance with security standards. Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills are required.

Qualifications

• 11+ years designing, implementing and supporting enterprise networks.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud networks.
• Strong LAN/WAN skills: routing, switching, VLANs, QoS, NAT, ACLs.
• Experience configuring routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, remote access.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, and encryption.
• Experience documenting network architectures and operations.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN, VPN, firewall and cloud networks.
• Collaborate with security, systems, and development teams to deliver reliable services.
• Create and update network diagrams and security configurations.
• Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders on project scopes and timelines.
• Plan statewide network upgrades and hardware lifecycle replacements.
• Configure and secure network devices, automate routines, and monitor performance.
