Job summary

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer to support IL5 cloud networking in AWS GovCloud for a DoD-aligned mission environment. You will implement and secure cloud networks, DNS routing, VPN/Direct Connect, and Zero Trust enforcement while collaborating with security and platform teams.

The role requires a Top Secret clearance, a relevant degree, and 5+ years in cloud/network engineering. The position is fully remote, supporting federal operations across the United States.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with Tier 5 background investigation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Networking, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in network engineering, cloud networking, or enterprise network operations.
• Experience implementing routing, VPN/Direct Connect, DNS, and load balancing in cloud environments.
• Experience supporting secure federal or DoD network environments.
• Familiarity with RMF and STIGs compliance.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain cloud network configurations including VPCs, subnets, routing tables, and segmentation.
• Configure DNS (Route 53) and domain routing rules.
• Support VPN tunnels, Direct Connect, and cross‑environment connectivity.
• Deploy and maintain WAF configurations, load balancers, and cloud firewall rules.
• Apply IAM policies tied to network access controls and enforcement requirements.
• Implement Zero Trust network enforcement for east‑west and north‑south traffic flows.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, DNS, routing, and traffic flow issues.
• Maintain network diagrams and configuration documentation.
