3MD Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate a Cisco-based enterprise network. The role covers routing, switching, wireless, and security, with on-premise customer equipment hosted at Denali facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; 5+ years of experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, senior level
• Expert-level knowledge of enterprise network architecture and design

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level network design and daily operational support for Denali's enterprise network
• Lead architecture and design of routing, switching, wireless, and network security solutions
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex network incidents; perform root cause analysis
• Design, configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco ISE for network access control
• Administer and optimize Cisco Umbrella for DNS-layer security and web filtering
• Administer and support Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) for network security
• Troubleshoot and remediate wireless connectivity issues across sites
• Design, configure, monitor, and optimize LAN/WAN for availability and security
• Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams
• Plan and coordinate network changes with IT and engineering teams
• Mentor junior engineers and provide after-hours on-call support
