Job summary

VTG is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and troubleshoot secure network and cloud infrastructure across AWS and hybrid environments. You will support system reliability, performance, and security using modern networking, DevOps practices, and GitHub-based workflows.

The role requires a Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph, a BS or MS in CS/CE or related field, and 6+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in systems design, engineering, or network engineering.
• Experience supporting AWS cloud environments and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience working in DevOps or cloud engineering environments.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous delivery practices.
• Experience with GitHub or other version control systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network and cloud infrastructure across AWS and hybrid environments.
• Troubleshoot cloud (AWS) networking and implementation issues.
• Support Linux-based system administration and network-related software issues.
• Assist with system design, engineering, and integration across enterprise environments.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure automation and deployment processes.
• Manage and use source control systems such as GitHub.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability.
• Support Agile-based development and continuous improvement processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across teams.
