Job summary

Somerset Staffing seeks a Core/Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate a large enterprise network across multiple vendors. You will drive automation with Python and Ansible, secure the environment, and collaborate with cybersecurity and workplace teams.

Onsite presence four days weekly is required to support office technology and services. You will work with vendors such as HPE, Aruba, Cisco, Palo Alto, Zscaler, and related platforms, ensuring reliable, scalable connectivity

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols and architectures.
• Experience with enterprise firewall and network security technologies.
• Hands-on network automation using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Experience working in multi-vendor networking environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across a multi-vendor environment.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routing and switching technologies.
• Develop and maintain network automation solutions using Python, Ansible, and related automation frameworks.
• Support enterprise wireless and Wi‑Fi infrastructure, including deployment and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on infrastructure hardening and security initiatives.
• Create and maintain network documentation, standards, and procedures.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI tools to enhance automation and efficiency.
• Provide onsite support for office technology four days per week.
