Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer for AI Infrastructure (Starshield) to design and deploy a scalable data center network for national security workloads in Washington, DC.

You will own network design, drive improvements, and ensure security and reliability for top-secret operations. Responsibilities include configuring high-speed interconnects, collaborating with ML teams, building deployment tools, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering discipline and 5+ years of networking experience deploying enterprise or cloud/web-scale networks.
• 5+ years of networking experience deploying enterprise networks or cloud/GPU networks (internship/co-op qualifies).
• Hands-on experience with deployment of networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Layer-1 experience including transport, DWDM, optical fiber, activations, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design, validate, and productize high-speed copper and optical connectivity for AI clusters (100k+ GPU scale).
• Manage network infrastructure and deployments for Top Secret data centers.
• Lead network integration and troubleshooting activities; mentor junior engineers.
