Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for AI infrastructure (Starshield) in Hawthorne, CA. You will own the data-center network design, deploy high-speed interconnects for AI clusters, and drive improvements in performance, security, and reliability while collaborating with ML teams and cross-functional engineers.

The role requires 5+ years in enterprise networking or 7+ years without a degree, hands-on hardware deployment, and eligibility for Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of equivalent networking experience.
• 5+ years deploying enterprise networking, cloud, or GPU networks.
• Hands-on deployment of routers, switches, firewalls, etc.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deploy network infrastructure for Top Secret data centers.
• Design and validate high-speed copper and optical interconnects for AI clusters.
• Collaborate with ML teams to map workloads to interconnect topology and reconfigurability.
• Develop tools for rapid deployments and automation.
• Improve network performance, reliability, and security.
• Lead network integration and troubleshoot with hardware/software teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence.
