Job summary

METRIX IT SOLUTIONS INC in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Senior Network Engineer (L4) to lead Cisco ACI deployments and hybrid cloud networking initiatives. You will drive design, troubleshooting, and cross‑team collaboration to deliver secure, scalable data center and cloud connectivity.

Ideal candidates will have hands‑on data center networking, automation experience, and strong documentation skills, with onsite work at our Phoenix facility. CCNP Data Center or Enterprise is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Cisco ACI (policy model, spine‑leaf architecture, multi‑pod/multi‑site concepts).
• Solid understanding of L2/L3 networking (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN).
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP networking constructs and hybrid‑cloud connectivity.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex network issues.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment, configuration, and optimization of Cisco ACI fabric components.
• Design and configure ACI constructs including VRFs, Bridge Domains, EPGs, contracts, and associated policies.
• Implement segmentation and micro‑segmentation strategies in ACI environments.
• Oversee ACI fabric maintenance, upgrades, and operational health checks.
• Partner with architects on high‑level design decisions and solution validation.
• Design and implement hybrid connectivity solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Configure Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, and cloud routing architectures.
• Integrate ACI with cloud‑native networking services to support hybrid workload traffic flows.
• Ensure best practices for cloud network security, routing, and performance optimization.
• Act as an L4 escalation point for high‑severity incidents across ACI and cloud networks.
• Perform deep‑drive diagnostics, packet captures, and traffic‑flow analysis.
• Lead incident root cause analysis and preventive remediation activities.
• Coordinate with Cisco TAC and cloud providers for complex issue resolution.
• Lead automation initiatives using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Develop and maintain templates, playbooks, and scripts for repeatable deployments.
• Deliver technical knowledge‑sharing sessions and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to High‑Level Design (HLD) and Low‑Level Design (LLD) documentation.
• Create operational runbooks, implementation guides, and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure adherence to compliance requirements, network governance standards, and change management processes.
