Job summary

Phoenix Staff is seeking a hands-on Mid-Level Network Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain a hybrid infrastructure for a growing SaaS organization in Phoenix. The role requires 3-5 years of experience across networking, systems administration, cloud technologies, and security.

You will work with engineering leadership and vendors to ensure uptime, reliability, and security while contributing to modernization efforts as the company moves toward a cloud-first architecture.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of production infrastructure experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based services.
• Experience administering Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, firewalls, VPNs, DNS.
• Experience supporting endpoint security or vulnerability remediation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain a hybrid infrastructure spanning colocated data centers and Microsoft Azure.
• Ensure system uptime, backups, disaster recovery readiness.
• Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, networking gear, firewalls, VPNs.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues impacting availability, security, or performance.
• Assist with upgrades, hardware refreshes, and system improvements.
• Maintain documentation, network diagrams, inventories, and procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support deployments and infrastructure requirements.
• Contribute to security and compliance initiatives, including access management.
