TEKsystems is seeking a Network Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, Fortinet SD-WAN, Check Point firewalls, and F5 BIG-IP load balancers. The role focuses on optimizing security policies, site deployments, migrations, and complex enterprise network troubleshooting for a fully remote position based in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and policy management.
• Design, implement, and support Fortinet SD-WAN solutions.

• Plan network infrastructure implementations including site deployments and migrations.
• Troubleshoot complex WAN/LAN/internet, security, and cloud connectivity.

Network Engineer Requirements

1. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing and implementing Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls

o Policy creation and management

o NAT, VPN, IPS, URL filtering, and security profiles

o Firewall troubleshooting and optimization

2. Minimum 3 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting Fortinet SD-WAN solutions

o Site deployments and migrations

o Traffic steering and application-aware routing

o Performance monitoring and troubleshooting

3. Minimum 3 years of experience administering Check Point Firewalls

o Security policy management

o VPN configuration and administration

o Rule-base optimization and troubleshooting

4. Minimum 3 years of experience configuring and supporting F5 BIG-IP Load Balancers

o LTM configuration and administration

o Virtual servers, pools, monitors, and SSL offloading

o High availability and troubleshooting

5. Experience planning and executing network infrastructure implementations

o New site deployments

o Hardware refreshes

o Network migrations with minimal business disruption

6. Strong routing and switching

o BGP, OSPF, EIGRP

o VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP

o Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, or equivalent platforms

7. Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise network issues

o WAN, LAN, Internet, security, and cloud connectivity

o Root cause analysis and problem resolution

8. Knowledge of network security best practices

o Segmentation strategies

o Zero Trust principles

o Secure remote access and VPN technologies

9. Experience working in large enterprise environments

o Multi‑site networks

o Data centers and cloud connectivity

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
