Job summary

A well-established infrastructure and managed services organization is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to enhance its core networking team. This strategic hire will focus on operating and troubleshooting complex service provider networks while ensuring performance and scalability. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, particularly in BGP and EVPN, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, engaging with clients and leading operational efforts.

Qualifications

Significant experience in data center environments or service provider networks.
Expert knowledge of BGP and experience in traffic flow management.
Experience in Arista-based networking environments is preferable.

A well-established, high-growth infrastructure and managed services organization is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join its core networking team. This is a strategic hire for someone who brings deep technical expertise and thrives in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Operate and troubleshoot complex, service provider-grade networks, with an emphasis on Arista spine-leaf architecture (non-ACI)
Own and manage EVPN/BGP-based data center environments with a focus on performance, redundancy, and scalability
Lead operational efforts including traffic engineering, routing policy, and infrastructure optimization
Act as a senior escalation point and subject matter expert within a collaborative team of 6 engineers
Participate in client-facing discussions (approximately 30%) to provide technical insight and guidance

What We’re Looking For:

Significant experience in data center and/or service provider environments (e.g., telecom, ISP, or large-scale carrier networks)
Expert-level knowledge of BGP with hands-on experience using communities to influence routing and traffic flow
Strong practical experience with EVPN troubleshooting, particularly in Arista-based environments
Operational mindset with a strong ability to lead network troubleshooting and performance tuning
Capable communicator comfortable engaging with clients when required

Requirements:

Based in Canada or the US – remote work is fully supported
Must be legally authorized to work in the US or Canada (no visa sponsorship available)
Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent experience are highly valued
Available to begin immediately or within a short timeframe
This is not a network security, cloud engineering, or DevOps role.
We are specifically seeking a hands-on network engineer with deep operational experience in data centers and routing technologies.
