Job summary

Franklin Fitch is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support network and data center projects across enterprise environments. This hands-on role requires troubleshooting complex issues and adapting to new technologies rather than sticking to familiar tasks.

You'll design, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, work in data center environments, and support Cisco routing, switching, and WLAN deployments.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of network engineering experience, ideally around 8 years.
• Hands-on experience with OSPF and BGP.
• Experience with enterprise switching and routing, preferably Cisco.
• Data center experience and comfort working with physical infrastructure.
• Experience with VXLAN.
• WLAN experience with Meraki, Aruba, or similar platforms.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of unfamiliar technical challenges.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Comfortable working across different vendors and technology stacks.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure
• Work hands-on in data center environments, including equipment preparation, installation, racking, and deployments
• Support Cisco routing and switching environments
• Troubleshoot routing issues across OSPF and BGP
• Work with VXLAN and ISE environments
• Support WLAN projects, including Meraki and Aruba, AP refreshes, WLC setup, and wireless troubleshooting
• Work with Cisco UCS and HPE data center infrastructure
• Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, including Cisco FTD/FMC, Palo Alto, and Fortinet
• Support VPN technologies including IPsec and DMVPN
• Participate in customer-facing engagements and technical deployments
• Work across multiple vendors and technologies depending on the project
• Potentially contribute to presales activities as you grow within the team

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who is comfortable working independently, troubleshooting complex network issues, and jumping into new technologies rather than limiting themselves to what they have done before.
