Job summary

HRUCKUS seeks an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain a large-scale enterprise network environment in a hybrid New York setting.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of hands-on experience with Nexus OS, Spine-Leaf, Palo Alto Firewalls, load balancers (F5/Citrix ADC), and Azure connectivity, in a change-controlled production environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of enterprise Network Engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus OS and Spine-Leaf network architecture.
• Experience supporting enterprise L2/L3 switching environments.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, and DNS.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls in an enterprise environment.
• Experience configuring load balancers such as F5 or Citrix ADC.
• Experience designing DMZ architectures.
• Experience implementing Azure cloud connectivity.
• Understanding of enterprise network security including access control, authentication, encryption, and IDS/IPS.
• Experience with change management in large production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN technologies.
• Configure and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, routing, switching, and network segmentation.
• Administer and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPNs, and rule management.
• Configure and support enterprise load balancing solutions (F5, Citrix ADC) to optimize application performance and availability.
• Design and maintain secure DMZ environments supporting internal and external-facing applications.
• Support hybrid cloud networking initiatives, including secure connectivity to Microsoft Azure.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex connectivity issues, and implement proactive improvements.
• Partner with network, infrastructure, and security teams to support deployments, upgrades, and change management.
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning for enterprise networking.
• Perform network documentation, standards development, and configuration management.
• Stay current with emerging networking technologies and recommend reliability and security improvements.

Position Description:

This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the organization's network infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, cloud connectivity, and DMZ architecture. The ideal candidate has strong enterprise networking experience and is comfortable working across network engineering and security disciplines in a highly available, change-controlled production environment.

Position Responsibilities:
