Base pay range

$78,000.00/yr - $107,000.00/yr

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for providing advanced support for the network infrastructure via the design, configuration, and maintenance. This includes routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
  • Design, configure, and install routers, software, and other network devices
  • Create and maintain technical and functional design documentation
  • Develop new network designs or enhance the existing network to increase network efficiency and performance
  • Analyze and evaluate networks, identify any issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently
  • Coordinate and troubleshoot with teams and vendors on network related matters
  • Provide overall technical leadership on projects
  • Maintain documentation on all projects from the beginning to the end
  • Conduct hardware and software audits
  • Ensure that the devices meet compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years previous work in an IT position
  • Ability to work efficiently and within a team environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of network services and network protocols such as OSPF and BGP
  • In-depth understanding, practical knowledge, and hands-on with networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers, and load balancers
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify any issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to apply positive personalized service to every guest’s interaction
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to set clear priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays, nights, and weekends
  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment

This position has no supervisor responsibilities.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
