Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a Sr Network Engineer to design and implement large-scale network solutions, focusing on Fortinet firewalls and Azure networking. The role involves writing configuration scripts, ensuring change-window compliance, and participating in on-call support.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in routing, switching, and multi-vendor firewall environments, with a track record of delivering complex network projects and providing guidance across data, voice, and mobile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments.
• Preference for Master's degree in related technical fields.

Responsibilities

• Write/engineer network device configuration scripts with change documentation.
• Implement network changes during change windows and review engineering feedback.
• Establish processes to test applications/devices before deployment and quantify performance.
• Serve as second-tier support for network operations.
• Participate in on-call support escalation rotation.
• Manage small/medium internal data network projects.
• Create detailed network designs meeting customer requirements (physical and logical).
• Provide guidance on data, voice, and mobile network capabilities.

Description:

• Write/engineer network device configuration scripts with associated change documentation to meet project goals and deadlines. Implement network changes during appropriate change windows (after hours) Review and provide feedback on change documentation/engineering of other engineers.
• Establish processes to test applications and devices before planned network deployment to quantify their performance and recommend steps to ensure they are optimized.
• Serve as second-tier support for network operations team when needed.
• Participate in on-call support escalation rotation
• Manage small/medium internal data network projects.
• Create detailed network designs that meet the customer requirements (including physical and logical) of complex network systems to meet the functional objectives of the business.
• Serve as a technical resource providing guidance and advice to associates on data, voice, and mobile network capabilities for utilizing the full capability of technology in designing effective solutions.

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments
