Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

InterSystems is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support our expanding US operations, focusing on deploying private cloud services and maintaining network infrastructure security and performance. The role involves deploying datacenters, supporting cloud customers, and ensuring compliance with security standards. Preference is given to CCIE certified candidates.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing expert support for network infrastructure in data centers.
2. Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on network service levels, resolving issues proactively.
3. Completing network activities within agreed timelines and schedules.
4. Collaborating with architects and project managers to design and implement network solutions.
5. Developing disaster recovery and network fail-over plans.
6. Supporting operational acceptance of network solutions and ensuring readiness before deployment.
7. Monitoring network availability, capacity, and performance 24/7.
8. Proactively managing network capacity and addressing potential issues.
9. Following operational processes for events, incidents, and requests.
10. Maintaining compliance with security policies.
11. Documenting network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
12. Fostering good relationships across teams, customers, and vendors.
13. Identifying opportunities for service improvements and automation.
14. Consulting with customers on solutions and providing 24/7 support as part of the hosting team.

Required Experience:

• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment, particularly Nexus switches and ASA firewalls.
• Network design, management, firewall rules, routing, load balancing, and VPN setup skills.
• Experience following ITIL processes in a 24x7 environment with strict SLA and security requirements.
• Experience with Cisco ASA and Firepower (FTD) Firewalls.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience with F5 load balancers, client management, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Nagios or Cacti, and configuration management tools like Puppet.
• Vendor management experience including PURE Storage and Cisco.
