Job summary

Arrowstreet Capital is seeking a Senior Networking Engineer to join its Infrastructure team in Boston. You will architect, design and implement the networking environment, leveraging Cisco Nexus, Palo Alto firewalls, and cloud networking with AWS.

Strong IaC skills and experience across LAN/WAN/MAN are required. The role demands extensive experience with routing protocols, Direct Connect, and AI-driven automation; collaboration across teams is essential, with a focus on scalable network roadmaps

Qualifications

• 5+ years of on-the-job experience in routing and switching in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN/MAN technologies.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus and Palo Alto next-gen firewall platforms.
• Experience with load balancers, preferably F5 LTM and GTM.
• Experience with AWS / Transit Gateway / AWS Network Manager / Route Analyzer / CloudWatch (1+ year).
• Network architecture design and documentation.
• Experience with modern routing protocols.
• Experience designing and supporting hybrid networks leveraging AWS Direct Connect.
• Experience integrating on-prem and cloud networks.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco ISE.
• Proficiency with ACLs, TCP/IP, VLAN, QoS, IP routing.
• Ability to communicate within teams and build trust.
• IaC automation (Python/Shell, Terraform, Ansible, Git, CI/CD) and cloud networking in AWS/Azure would be assets.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Networking Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. The Senior Networking Engineer will be responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of our networking environment. Qualified candidate must have significant on the job Cisco experience along with related experience in Infrastructure / Networked environments with hardware (routers, switches, firewall, etc.), software (IOS), network security practices, designing, planning and implementing LAN-MAN-WANs using the industry standard technologies.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate should have at least five (5) years on the job experience in routing and switching in an enterprise environment.
• Comprehensive hands on experience with LAN / WAN / MAN technologies.
• Comprehensive hands on experience with Cisco Nexus technologies and Palo Alto next gen firewall platform.
• Experience with load balancing platforms, preferably F5 LTM and GTM.
• Hands on experience with Amazon AWS / Transit Gateway / AWS Network Manager / Route Analyzer / CloudWatch (at least one year).
• Comprehensive Network Architecture experience, including network design, reference architecture and design documentation.
• Comprehensive hands on experience with modern routing protocols.
• Experience designing and support hybrid networks leveraging Amazon Direct Connect.
• Comprehensive Network Architecture experience, including network design, reference architecture and design documentation.
• Hands on experience integrating on premise and cloud providers networks.
• Strong working knowledge with Cisco ISE.
• Proficiency working with access control list (ACLs), TCP / IP; VLAN, Traffic Shaping, priority queuing, class of service (QoS) and IP routing.
• Ability to work independently, develop long term strategic enterprise network goals and create a network technology roadmap.
• Ability to communicate well within and across teams; foster relationships throughout the organization, and build trust amongst peers through demonstrated strong job performance.
• Proficiency in infrastructure management and automation using Infrastructure as Code (Python/Shell scripting, Terraform, Ansible, Git, and CI/CD pipelines), as well as experience with cloud networking environments in AWS and Azure, would be considered assets.

Salary

The base salary range for this position is $105,000 - $320,000 per year.
