Job summary

Jobtailor is looking for a senior Data Center Network Engineer to translate business needs into scalable data center designs and to oversee implementation across complex environments. The role requires strong Cisco/Arista know-how, hands-on automation with Python, Ansible, and YAML, and a track record in financial services contexts.

You will work closely with business technology teams, mentor junior staff, review documentation, and help define catalogs of standard products for the data center

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Data Center Network Engineering
• Cisco experience required
• Arista experience required
• Automation experience with Arista CVP, Python, Ansible or YAML; at least three of four
• Strong work history
• Experience in Financial Services industry

Responsibilities

• Design data center networking solutions that meet business requirements and standards.
• Supervise implementation of network designs and verify functionality.

Job description

• Responsible for mapping data center networking solutions to business technology requirements.
• Leverages Data Network Standards to design data center constructs that meet technical and functional Line-of-Business requirements.
• Able to develop technology designs, supervise the implementation of these designs, verify their proper functionality, and act as a technical consultant for any issues encountered over the project lifecycle.
• Capable of working with line-of-business and business technology staff to understand and meet project requirements.
• Acts as a trusted partner to provide solutions to their needs.
• Engages in high severity production incidents and problem tickets in support of any data network redesign requirements.
• Able to adjust designs to meet business-required levels of cost, reliability, and functionality.
• Able to understand, formulate, and communicate complex designs with other technology partners within TI
• Assists in the training of junior associates
• Engages program management and product engineering teams for process and application improvement opportunities
• Reviews system documentation for accuracy and updates as necessary.
• Provides feedback to product teams as to the catalog of standard products, and business requirements for changes to the catalog.
