Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Enterprise Network Architect to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of our global network infrastructure. You will guide routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and security initiatives across on-premises, data center, and cloud environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on implementation, Azure networking, and automation, with mentoring responsibilities and participation in on-call rotations to ensure reliability and performance.

Qualifications

Requires 6 years of relevant experience; 8+ years preferred.
Experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale multi-site environments.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead design, implementation, and support of enterprise network infrastructure.
Provide technical leadership for routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and security.
Administer Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki platforms and related tech.
Plan WAN/LAN/WLAN/VPN and internet connectivity; manage hybrid cloud links.
Support Azure networking services, ExpressRoute, VNets, and Virtual WAN.
Configure BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, HSRP, and QoS; participate in on-call rotations.
Mentor engineers, define standards, and drive roadmaps and DR plans.

Job description

• Lead the design, implementation, optimization, and support of CLA's enterprise network infrastructure across office, datacenter, and cloud environments
• Provide technical leadership for routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and network security initiatives
• Administer and support Cisco networking technologies including Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki, and related platforms
• Design and manage enterprise WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN, and internet connectivity solutions
• Support and optimize Microsoft Azure networking services, including ExpressRoute, Virtual Networks, Virtual WAN, DNS, and hybrid cloud connectivity
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, HSRP, and QoS
• Partner with cybersecurity teams on secure network architectures, firewalls, segmentation, and Zero Trust initiatives
• Lead network modernization, cloud transformation, office integration, and infrastructure lifecycle management projects
• Develop and maintain network automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies
• Utilize network monitoring and performance management tools such as SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and LogicMonitor
• Serve as a technical escalation point for complex network incidents, performance issues, and critical outages
• Mentor network engineers and contribute to architectural standards, operational procedures, and network roadmaps
• Ensure high availability, resiliency, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements are met
• Participate in the on-call rotation

Requirements

6 years of relevant experience required
8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience preferred
Experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale multi-site environments preferred
Bachelor's degree required
A combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree
Degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
Technical expertise in routing, switching, wireless, cloud networking, SD-WAN, and network security
Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki, and related platforms
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure networking services, including ExpressRoute, VNets, Virtual WAN, DNS, and hybrid cloud connectivity
Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, HSRP, and QoS
Experience with PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar automation technologies
Experience with SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, LogicMonitor, or similar network monitoring platforms
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
