Job summary

Belcan LLC in Altoona, IA seeks a Senior Network & Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to lead design, deployment, and operations of enterprise networks across on‑premises and cloud environments.

You will work with Cisco and Fortinet gear, manage core network and data center components, ensure DR/BCP readiness, security, virtualization, storage connectivity, and mentor engineers within a fast‑paced, outcomes‑driven setting.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of enterprise networking and data center infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet devices.
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and virtualization.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Lead planning and implementation of upgrades and modernization.
• Manage routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and WAN optimization.
• Oversee data center operations, servers, cabling, and hardware lifecycle.
• Ensure high availability, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop network standards and documentation.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on vulnerability assessments.
• Lead cross‑functional infrastructure projects.
• Configure DNS, DHCP, VPN, and cloud connectivity.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
