Job summary

The LBJ Infrastructure Group seeks a Senior Network and Cyber Engineer to own the design, security, and operation of hybrid IT/OT networks for critical corridors in the DFW area. You will drive modernization, governance, and audit readiness across NCS, ITS, and data center environments.

Responsibilities include architecture design, vulnerability management, and incident response, with Fortinet-focused administration and cross-team collaboration. Some on-call and field work are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, networking, or cybersecurity and 5–8+ years in network/cybersecurity roles.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VPNs, BGP/OSPF and security governance.
• Experience with OT/ITS environments, incident management, and security monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure network architectures across data centers and field environments.
• Lead cybersecurity audits, policy enforcement, and incident response activities.
• Oversee vulnerability management, threat detection, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot routing/switching/firewalls, and ensure SLAs are met.
• Manage Fortinet ecosystem, documentation, and CMDB records.
