Job summary

County of Sonoma seeks a Network and Communications Manager to lead the Network Infrastructure Team in the Information Systems Department. You will oversee enterprise networking, telecommunications, UC, and security, while supervising staff, managing resources, and vendor relationships.

You will guide modernization, lifecycle management, and budgeting for infrastructure operations. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities to support resilient technology

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience supervising technical staff and complex infrastructure projects.
• Broad knowledge of enterprise networking, data center networking, and security principles.
• Experience with VoIP, unified communications, and cloud connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Coach, direct, and schedule staff; manage staff development and performance.
• Lead modernization and lifecycle management of network, telecom, UC, security, and cloud connectivity.
• Manage expenditures, budget forecasting, and vendor relationships for infrastructure.
• Oversee network services including security, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Communicate project status and needs to senior leadership and stakeholders.
