This position will lead the design, configuration, integration, and troubleshooting of advanced Cisco Systems routing, switching, wireless, and Unified Communications environments, delivering secure, resilient, and mission‑ready converged voice, video, and data capabilities across six U.S. Marine Corps installations under the PEO Digital TCS Program Office. The Senior Engineer will serve as a technical leader responsible for verification site surveys, engineering design, and EFIST (Engineer, Furnish, Install, Secure, and Test) execution of wireless access points, wireless controllers, IP‑based voice services, routing and switching infrastructure, and supporting enterprise network components. This effort includes both replacement of end‑of‑life hardware and expansion of WLAN capabilities in accordance with Zero Trust and Comply‑to‑Connect principles. This role also provides senior engineering expertise for enterprise Cisco Systems Unified Communications and IP telephony environments, including call processing architecture, dial plan development, voice gateway integration, SIP/SRST survivability, QoS implementation, and voice quality troubleshooting. The Senior Engineer will ensure seamless integration of voice, wireless, and data services with existing MCEN‑N enterprise services to maintain operational continuity and mission effectiveness. The candidate will work closely with Lead Systems Engineers, field implementation teams, and government stakeholders to support Technical Readiness Reviews (TRR), Government Acceptance Testing (GAT), cutover planning, and final operational turnover. The ideal candidate is willing and able to travel between North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, bringing innovation, technical discipline, and mission focus to every solution deployed. • Support and advise the Lead Systems Engineer in development and execution of technical solutions, providing recommendations for design improvements, risk mitigation, operational efficiency, and overall technical performance.
  • Develop detailed engineering designs, low‑level implementation plans, network diagrams, inventories, cutover procedures, and as‑built documentation for wireless, voice, and data infrastructure installations.
  • Support Technical Readiness Review (TRR) activities by validating design maturity, confirming installation readiness, and ensuring technical, security, and logistical prerequisites are satisfied prior to deployment.
  • Support Government Acceptance Testing (GAT) activities by validating operational performance, interoperability, security compliance, and adherence to approved customer acceptance criteria.
  • Plan, coordinate, manage, and report installation, migration, and cutover activities for network and communications modernization efforts, including outage planning, rollback procedures, transition coordination, and schedule execution.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and operational support across LAN/WAN/MAN, wireless, routing, switching, and voice environments using packet capture, protocol analysis, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Provide technical oversight for integration of upgraded infrastructure with existing enterprise services including authentication, access control, DHCP, DNS, NTP, call control, and network management systems.
