Job summary

Inherent Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer in Waltham, MA to design, implement, and automate enterprise network tooling.

You will build integrations across ThousandEyes, SolarWinds, Infoblox DDI, NetBrain, and ServiceNow, applying Python scripting and API-based workflows to improve observability and operation. Qualifications

• Must have: Strong Network Engineering background with enterprise LAN/WAN, routing, IP networking, DNS, DHCP and network management concepts.
• Must have: Strong hands-on Python and scripting experience with evidence of developing network automation or integration solutions.
• Must have: Strong API and systems integration experience, particularly REST APIs and integration between network platforms.
• Strong experience with network monitoring, management and observability within complex enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of NetDevOps principles, Git/source control, CI/CD, testing, and software engineering practices for networks.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, operate, maintain, integrate, and enhance network tooling platforms including ThousandEyes, SolarWinds, Infoblox DDI, NetBrain, and ServiceNow.
• Develop integrations between network platforms, devices, and supporting platforms using REST APIs, Python, and scripting.
• Develop and enhance network observability capabilities using monitoring, telemetry, and operational data.
• Design and implement network configuration automation and repeatable engineering workflows.
• Develop reusable scripts and automation to reduce manual engineering activity and improve consistency.
• Apply NetDevOps and modern software delivery practices to network engineering.
